Seeds of Learning Kit
Seeds of Learning Packs are small educational bundles created to support children in the DRC who face barriers to consistent schooling. Each pack includes simple learning tools that help students stay engaged, encouraged, and equipped — no matter their circumstances. It’s an easy way for anyone to make a real impact in a child’s education.
My Story
Step 1
1) Choose a small pouch or bag
A pencil case, zip pouch, or small tote works great — lightweight and easy to ship.
2) Add essential school supplies
Include items like pencils, pens, crayons, erasers, sharpeners, and a small notebook. These are the tools kids in the DRC use the most.
NOTE:

Include 3–5 pencils, 1–2 pens, a small pack of crayons or colored pencils, and at least one eraser.
3) Include sharpening and organization supplies
Add a pencil sharpener, paper clips, or a small ruler. These simple tools help students keep their materials usable and organized.
4) Add learning sheets or simple educational materials
Include alphabet sheets, number charts, basic vocabulary pages, or small flashcards. These support early literacy and math skills without adding weight.
5) Add a small notebook or writing pad
Choose a thin, soft‑cover notebook that fits easily in the pouch. This gives each child a personal space to write, draw, and practice lessons.
6) Include a small comfort or creativity item
Add something uplifting but lightweight — a few stickers, a bookmark, a mini coloring page, or a tiny toy. These items bring joy and encourage creativity.
7) Write a short encouragement note
Keep it simple and universal: “Keep learning.” “You are capable.” “Your education matters.” These messages inspire confidence and hope.
8) Check for safety and travel readiness
Make sure everything is new, clean, and non‑liquid. Avoid anything sharp, heavy, or fragile.
9) Seal and label the pack
Close the pouch securely and label it “Seeds of Learning Pack” so it can be easily sorted and delivered to the right children.
10) Send it with love and intention
Every pack you create becomes a tool of empowerment — helping a child learn, grow, and dream.
